The Thermo King Precedent® S-700 is engineered for single-temperature refrigerated trailer operations requiring deep-frozen capability and maximum efficiency. Featuring a proven Diesel Direct Electric (DDE) architecture with Electronic Throttling Valve (ETV) technology, the S-700 provides precise temperature control and double-digit fuel savings without requiring a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF).
High-Efficiency Architecture & Emissions Compliance
Powered by a 4-cylinder, direct-injection liquid-cooled engine (TK488CRH) rated at 35 hp, the Precedent S-700 achieves full EPA Final Tier 4 and CARB Evergreen compliance. The common rail fuel injection system optimizes particulate matter control in-cylinder, maintaining lifetime regulatory status across North America.
Advanced Refrigeration & Airflow Engineering
The unit incorporates an X430 lightweight reciprocating compressor alongside curved microchannel condenser coils that more than double total surface area to maximize airflow and eliminate operational dead spots. A dual-speed induction evaporator fan provides high airflow volume up to 3,300 ft³/min at 0 Pa static pressure.
Control & Telematics
Equipped with the Smart Reefer® 4 (SR4) control system, the S-700 includes built-in diagnostic tools, OptiSet® Plus, CargoWatch, and factory-integrated TracKing® telematics for real-time fleet monitoring and FSMA temperature compliance.
