Description
The Thermo King SG-3500 Clip-On Generator Set delivers dependable off-grid power engineered specifically for marine refrigerated containers. Powered by a 2.1L cast iron Eco-Governed diesel engine producing 24.1 HP and a 15 kW electrical output, this genset is capable of powering all ISO reefers in ambient operating temperatures ranging from -40°F to 122°F (-40°C to 50°C) and altitudes up to 10,000 ft (3,000 m).
Designed for durability and low life-cycle operating costs, the SG-3500 features extended 3,000-hour service intervals and an alternator engineered for higher capacity and reduced duty cycle times. The unit is compliant with EPA Tier 4, GB4, and NRMM Stage V emissions regulations, and is tested and approved for biofuels including hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO), renewable diesel, and biodiesel.
Equipped with the advanced SG+ microprocessor controller, the unit offers auto-restart functionality, manual function checks, and self-testing diagnostic capabilities. The aerodynamic clip-on frame mounts securely to container corner castings using standard quick-disconnect fasteners, pin-mount, or clamp-mount configurations, making it suitable for marine reefers, tank containers, and double-stack rail operations.
